Quinn Fastnow

In addition to school leadership roles, Quinn has been the President of the Pilgrim Congregational UCC Youth Group for four years, leading and organizing youth activities, fundraisers, and service projects. 

Quinn has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, has taken several AP courses and is an AP Scholar with Distinction. They have a hard time choosing a favorite class as they love to learn and have varied interests, but according to Quinn, “ I found all of my social studies and english classes to be greatly enjoyable.” 

While all of their activities mean a lot Quinn, “Speech and Debate has to take the top spot! Being a Hawker is so much more than just speaking and debating. The amazing bonds I've formed with my teammates, the passion overflowing from our team, and our collective commitment to ‘make it better’ all make speech and debate really meaningful.” A highlight was a trip to Tanzania this past summer. The Hawkers were asked to share their skills with students on the other side of the planet. The team fundraised the entire cost of the trip and gave their time and knowledge to make a difference in the lives of the students they coached.  Quinn recaps the experience: “We formed new friendships with the kids there and strengthened the ones we already had with each other. We exchanged cultures and got to share the activity that we all value so much. That trip, to me, is the perfect representation of everything that makes our team great.”

Quinn plans to attend a four year university in the future.
