Captain with the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office

Jason Jarrett (JJ) is a Captain with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and has been the SAR (Search and Rescue) Commander for the last 20 years.  He is a 35-year veteran of public safety in Gallatin County including 25 years as a volunteer fire fighter/EMT.  In 1985 he started a 10-year stint as a Ranger in Yellowstone National Park.  In 1995, started work for the Sheriff’s Office and has served in all divisions and ranks.  He is currently assigned as the Jail Commander.  JJ is a 4^th generation Montanan and moved to Bozeman in 1982 to attend MSU.  His is married to Mary Fran San Soucie with 2 boys.
