One Valley's Seat at the Table Discussion on Housing in Bozeman

More than 400 people participated in the 2021 A Seat at the Table community conversation initiative about housing and affordability issues. Tanya will share data and stories from people who participated in West Yellowstone, Bozeman, Manhattan, and the other towns and rural areas in between. There are 8 major themes in the results, along with 4 major findings that will be presented to community groups, government leaders, funders, employers, and community members throughout Gallatin County. Local ideas were generated to address local problems.

Tanya grew up in Montana, and after many years of living and working in Alaska and Wyoming, has put down a tap root in the Gallatin Valley to raise her two kids. A big believer in the power of neighbors helping neighbors through partnership and communication, Tanya fills the role of Community Engagement Manager with the technical skills of a certified public engagement specialist and a Master of Public Administration from Montana State University. She puts those beliefs and skills to work throughout Gallatin County by crafting inclusive and effective opportunities for people to participate in decision making that impacts their own lives.
