Ty’s goal for the future is to be a reliable adult. “I want to be the person that if you need to get something done, I'm the first guy you think of. I want to be reliable for my friends and family. I want to be the person that people can come to if they need help or if they need someone to talk to. I really enjoy being the person people can rely on in a time of need.” Ty is well on his way to this future. Many describe him now as reliable, dependable, intelligent, kind, and truthful.

Ty is a captain on the football team and  was a captain for the lacrosse team. He earned honorable mention All-conference guard for football and a third team All-state goalie for lacrosse his junior year. He plays the euphonium in the BHS Wind Ensemble and has been part of the Ensemble since his freshman year.

Ty likes to teach others about good sportsmanship. He visited elementary schools and worked with the students there.  He’s also helped at a few football and lacrosse camps.  In addition, Ty helps elderly people with chores, decorating for holidays, and mowing lawns. He does the same for  many neighbors. In addition, Ty volunteers to help with maintenance at Children's Dental Health.

Ty has maintained a 4.0 throughout high school. His favorite class is math. Ty states, “I have always liked math because it comes more naturally to me than many other subjects. I have taken Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-calc, and Calc BC in high school.”

Ty’s proud of the fact that he maintained a 4.0 GPA while being on the football team, lacrosse team, and the wind ensemble. The amount of time needed for each of these is significant.  As Ty describes his schedule he states, “In the fall, I'm juggling lifting in the morning, football practice at night, finding time to practice my instrument, and making sure all my schoolwork is completed. In the winter, I'm lifting in the morning, practicing for several major band concerts, doing speed and agility work every other night, finding time to practice lacrosse, and keeping my grades up for semester finals. In the spring, I'm practicing lacrosse every night, traveling every weekend to tournaments, getting ready for my final band concerts, finding time to lift, and making sure I end the school year with good grades in all my classes. I'm also taking the STAMP assessment to prove proficiency in German this year and I'm also in Calculus BC which is the most advanced math class in the high school… During football season, I average 28 hours a week on football related activities on top of school and homework.”

Ty traveled with the  Northern Musicians Abroad in the summer of 2024. This group consists of some of the best band students from North Dakota and Montana. The students traveled to Europe, performed several concerts, and experienced the culture of 7 countries.

After high school, Ty wants to attend MSU and study mechanical engineering.
