Brett Boxwell
Brett is a nice person. He believes in the power of “ just saying howdy and smiling.” He truly believes that this small gesture is a big thing, and can be “one more good thing in someone's day that might just make it better.” In addition to his kindness, Brett is described by others as trustworthy and hardworking.
Brett was elected as senior class president. He is honored to be in the student council to work with his peers to make this a great year. So far this year the student council has organized the Homecoming assembly and dance, Senior Sunrise event, and the fall blood drive. Ben is excited to see what else will happen this year.
Brett has excelled academically at BHS. He earned an A in all classes except for one (which was 89% B+). His favorite class has been math, and this is because Brett says, “ I like to solve problems. I have been intrigued to learn why math works and not just memorizing what to do.”
Brett is most proud of pushing himself academically and physically. Recently, he created a routine to improve his health. He works out 5 days a week, “to take care of the body that I am given and try to make the best version of myself. “ Brett says even on the days his motivation is low, he still works out and has stuck to a routine for over a year, “showing myself that I am capable of committing to something and seeing it through with discipline, persistence, and hard work.”
For the past three years Brett has been part of the track and field team. He said a highlight was running with the Special Olympics team in the unified 4 by 100 relay.
Brett is not set on his next step in life, but his tentative plans for life after high school are to attend Montana State University and pursue a degree in the engineering field.
