Sara Gallagher-Bernall - READMontana Executive Director
Dyslexia affects 15-20% of students—potentially 1 in 5 children in our community—yet only 5% receive a formal diagnosis and a mere 10% qualify for school-based services. This gap creates profound consequences: academic trauma, reduced educational attainment, increased mental health challenges, and generational cycles that perpetuate poverty and social instability.
READMontana exists to bridge this critical gap through three core pillars: Resources, Education, and Advocacy.
The cost of unaddressed dyslexia to our community, in terms of lost productivity, increased social services, and unrealized human potential, makes READMontana not just a service organization, but an essential community investment in breaking cycles of educational struggle and building stronger families for generations to come.
