Board Update and approved budgets
The Board met last week and formally approved both the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club (BSRC) and Foundation (BSRF) budgets for the 2026ā2027 year.
To keep our financial structure clear:
BSRC (Club Operations): Funded by membership dues; covers Rotary International and District dues, club software, and meeting operational costs.
BSRF (Club Foundation 501(c)(3)): Funded by your efforts and the Fundraising Committee activities; directly supports our service projects. (Note: Foundation Committee focuses on RI philanthropy activities, grants and PolioPlus).
2026ā2027 Rate Adjustments (Effective July 1, 2026) To ensure our club remains financially sustainable amidst rising operational costs, the Board made a difficult decision to implement the following adjustments:
Membership Dues: $175 per quarter
Optional Friday Breakfast: $15 per meeting
Why These Adjustments Were Necessary While we successfully held dues flat for a few years, rising coffee costs along with 3ā5% annual increases in RI/District dues and software subscriptions required action. The Board felt we needed our coffee!
Additionally, Andrew has been testing hot breakfast options for our regular Friday meetings. The previous charge did not fully cover breakfast costs; $15 aligns us with actual expenses while allowing us to feature a once a month hot breakfast bar.
We do not take price increases lightly, but these changes protect the clubās long-term health and our ability to serve Bozeman. Please reach out to Teri Lumsden directly if you have any questions or would like to discuss the budget in detail.

Environmental Action of the Week!
Tip #25
Plan meals to reduce waste
Use what you have.
If 50 households reduced food waste by 10%, it would keep 2ā3 tons of food out of landfills annually.
