Abby has been a Bozeman Sunrise Rotary member since 2019 and is well known for her work with our sister club in Katsuyama, Japan. And she will be the President-Elect-Nominee starting in the summer of 2025. She is a member of several Rotary Committees- Membership, PR and International- and is co-Sergeant-At-Arms.
A Bozemanite since 2002, Abby is a graduate of Montana State University with a degree in History and Japanese Studies. Her husband of 19 years, Ernie, and two kids Nellie and Corbin, are all involved in the community, participating in sports and music activities. Spending time in the community and enjoying Bozeman's amazing events keep them busy throughout the year.
Abby is currently a digital marketing consultant focused on small businesses.

This year’s Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Fixup Festival will be held October 4, 2025. The festival will bring together local businesses, nonprofits, and volunteers to repair and rehabilitate homes for low-income, elderly, or disabled homeowners. Projects may include carpentry, plumbing, deck repairs, weatherization, yard cleanup, and more. Applicants must be low-income homeowners from Bozeman, Belgrade, Four Corners, or Gallatin Gateway, MT. Priority is given to elderly, disabled, and veteran homeowners, though all low-income applicants are eligible. The event provides a one-day work party to complete essential repairs.

Winners of the 2024 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Fellows
Bozeman Sunrise Rotary is excited to once again to award several Fullbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Fellows with financial grants to support their critical work at schools around the world. Winners are chosen based on their grant application and presentation to the community that explains their project in detail and the impact that they hope to achieve, including alignment with Rotary International's focus areas. With increased funding from private sources, Bozeman Sunrise Rotary was able to award grants to more teachers this year.

We are pleased to highlight our work with Bozeman’s Human Resource Development Council. Bozeman Sunrise Rotary partners with HRDC on projects that support children and families, including the Healthy KidsPacks, the Boar, and the Fix Up Festival.
Fix Up Festival: A Partnership for Safe and Stable Homes
Fix Up Festival helps low-income families, people with disabilities, and veterans restore their homes each year, providing essential repairs to ensure safety and livability. This important work is made possible through strong community partnerships, especially with HRDC. HRDC plays a crucial role by verifying income and homeownership to determine eligibility for repairs. Their community connections and outreach efforts help spread awareness and drive applications, ensuring more households get the support they need.

KidsPack: A Partnership to Provide Healthy Foods to Children
The Healthy KidsPack Program provides nutritious food for students to take home over weekends, addressing student hunger. The Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club has volunteered to assemble the packs for two years, packing over 800 bags in under two hours. Each bag contains easy-to-prepare items like macaroni & cheese, soup, tuna, oatmeal, granola bars, fruit, milk, and juice. HRDC delivered 7,763 KidsPacks last semester. This community effort highlights the importance of ensuring children have access to nutritious food for the weekend.
The BOAR (Blueprint Obstacle Adventure Race) is a 1K & 5K race supporting youth experiencing homelessness. This family-friendly, team event features obstacles for all abilities. The Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club partners with HRDC to host the race, with all proceeds benefiting the BluePrint Continuum, which aids youth and young adults facing homelessness. Club members design and build obstacles, and also sponsor race registrations for those in need. Blueprint is a youth-centered program that focuses on education, employment, self-image, social skills, boundaries, choices, and conflict resolution. The Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to host the 5th annual BOAR this year.
The Tripureswor Rotary Club of Nepal and Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club teamed up to address challenges in six Nepali schools, such as high dropout rates and limited teacher support. Over three years, they secured funding for teacher training, parent engagement, and technology like computer labs. One school improved from 13th to 6th place in the Nepali Secondary Education Exam. In November 2024, Bozeman Rotarians were warmly welcomed with garlands and prayer shawls. With the grant expiring in March 2025, Bozeman Rotary plans to collaborate with Tripureswor Rotary to create a new grant and continue supporting these and other schools.
