Dr. Pete Coppolillo - Working Dogs for Conservation
From detecting and monitoring low-density cryptic species like snow leopard and wolverine, to the world’s first wire-snare detection dogs, Working Dogs For Conservation (WD4C) has led the development of techniques for difficult targets like noxious weeds, cavity-roosting bats, fish, and wildlife diseases. And they are at the forefront of the fight against wildlife trafficking, training dogs to detect ammunition, guns, ivory, rhino horn, pangolin scales, and more. trafficking, training dogs to detect ammunition, guns, ivory, rhino horn, pangolin scales, and more.

BSRC Annual Picnic!
August 13th @ 5:47 pm
RSVP for our annual club picnic at Glen Lake Rotary Park and marvel at the work done on both entrances and around the meandering stream, have some food, and enjoy the company of fellow members.
Bring extra chairs and a side dish or dessert, depending on these strict last name rules 😅:
Last name begins with A-M: side dish
Last name begins with N-Z: a dessert
Did we mention it's a good idea to bring an extra chair?
We also need volunteers for setup, cooking, and cleanup - thanks for making this another FUN event!

Lower Madison River Cleanup!
August 15th from 9am -1pm
We have a new volunteer opportunity!
August 15th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for the Lower Madison River Clean-Up being sponsored by Trout Unlimited.
As a reminder, Trout Unlimited sponsors our Kid's Fishing Day every year. We coordinated with Jim Schonewise and told him that we would try to get as many people as I could to come out. If you can make it for even some of the time that will be great. Lunch, drinks, and prizes will be provided afterwards at 1:00 pm.
Please use the registration under the calendar event in ClubRunner to indicate that you will be in attendance and we can register you with Trout Unlimited!

Environmental Action of the Week!
Tip #20
Carry a refillable water bottle!
Tap water (especially in Bozeman) is great!
If 50 people skipped bottled water most days, it would replace 10,000–15,000 plastic bottles per year
