Scheduled each year on the 3rd Saturday of May, we anticipate 200-250 kids to participate. Come out to help kids learn the basics of rigging and catching fish, with memories that will last a lifetime.

Club members and volunteers help with registration, making lunch, stuffing goodie bags (each kid gets one), loaner fishing poles, releasing fish, untangling lines, setup and takedown of tables and signage.

Our first-ever event took place May 22, 2010 with 92 youngsters in attendance. Another 40+ adults joined their kids to provide technical and emotional support. We've grown to serving lunch to nearly 500 adults and kids along with providing dozens of raffle prizes.

Parents check their kids in between 9-10 a.m. with fishing starting when the horn blows at 10:00 sharp. At 12:00 Noon, fishing ends and everyone comes to lunch at our patio and awaits the anticipation of potentially winning a prize in our raffle drawing.  Overall, everyone has a fun time being with family and watching the happy faces of kids enjoying themselves at our natural playground at the Park.
