The first annual BOAR race took place on Saturday August 21, 2021 (BOAR stands for Blueprint Obstacle Adventure Race) which took place at Glen Lake Rotary Park in Bozeman.

The Third Annual event is slated for August 26, 2023 at Glen Lake Rotary Park. Details are ON THEIR WEBSITE

The inaugural 5K & 1K race supported, and spread awareness, of youth experiencing homelessness in our community.  It is a family-friendly team-oriented event which is open to all ability levels, challenges team members to problem-solve, and overcome obstacles together.

5K - This event is a typical obstacle race course starting and finishing at Glen Lake Rotary Park (formerly East Gallatin Recreation Area).  Prizes were provided for the most creative team name, the fastest completion time for a team of three or more, teams with the most participants and the most creatively dressed team.

1K -This is a unique opportunity for individuals of all abilities to participate in an obstacle race, including children and people with developmental and mobility disabilities.

Blueprint History - In November 2015, the HRDC opened Blueprint a home dedicated to serving youth experiencing moments of homelessness in Gallatin Valley. Blueprint offers a safe and inclusive environment for our community’s youth, ages 16-20. Blueprint is a youth-centered, strength-based, and solutions-focused program that supports the following areas: educational attainment, employment, development of positive self-image, increase in social competencies, development of healthy boundaries, providing choices, and integrating conflict resolution skills.

IMPORTANT RACE DAY INFO:
For the safety of the race, runners and dogs, no dogs are allowed at Glen Lake Rotary Park. Our insurance company can revoke our policy if non-service dogs are on the premises.
